Original Movement and Dance:
Our instructors will direct students though street dance, Chinese martial arts, and Chinese traditional dance, while developing critical movement skills i.e. observation, improvisation, and basic choreographic elements to create the Mulan-inspired dance of each student’s dreams.
 
Original Digital Song:
Our instructor will introduce the usage of Apple GarageBand to create and produce original songs. Students will choose their favorite characters or settings i.e. Mulan’s solo or a war song.  The instructor will expose students to the Northern Chinese music from Mulan’s background, sounds of nature, prairie folk melodies, specialty instruments, etc. and teach them how to integrate these elements into original compositions.
 
Original Design (Scenography, Costume, Makeup):
Our instructor will introduce basic principles of design, color, contrast, structure, and other concepts. She will lead students in the use of materials found in daily life i.e., paper, string, etc. to create Mulan’s headgear or her armor.
